We got there about 3:30. We went to see the park ranger's show "Dog Daze", and then we tried to make some Jiffy Pop. The first one, my Dad set on fire. The second one worked. We ate smores and my Mom made this nacho thing with chili. My Uncle Tim really liked it. He finished it off. When we went to bed that night in the tent it rained. I thought I was sweating but when I woke up I was wet everywhere. I was sleeping in a puddle! The next day it rained and rained and rained. We drove to Wal-Mart. We also went to the Visitor's Center and I got a ton of brochures because that night was Carlyle Lake Jeopardy at our campground. Then we walked on the dam. It had stopped raining so we went on a pontoon boat my Aunt Theresa rented. When we finished on the boat, it was almost time for Jeopardy. My Dad went to dry out the tent and I went with Eliana and Meghan to Jeopardy. The brochures actually helped. I answered some of the questions. My team won, even though the other team got two of the Daily Doubles. We slept fine that night and I stayed up really late with my Dad at the campfire. Everyone else went to sleep. The next morning we left after we packed everything up. We had lots of fun!

Summer reading program.

At the library I'm in the summer reading program. Me and my two sisters have to read 25 books for the small prize and 55 books for the big prize. My friend Sarah only has to read 10 books. Sarah said she won the summer reading program 2 years in a row. I think she went to a difirent library than me. The program lasts 2 months, June and July. I have already read 5 books, but I have read a lot of pages and that counts too. For the small prize I don't know what I want to win, but there is an insect book I would like to have for the big prize. Right now I am very interested in reading about venemous animals. When I finish all of the books I have checked out about venemous animals I am going to read some Magic Tree House Books.

Our Growing Family

I used to be the oldest. When I was almost two, my parents had my sister Meghan.

A few years later they decided to adopt a little girl from Haiti...that little girl ended up coming with a little boy and a big girl.

I remember when Eliana and Isabella came home. I turned on a Veggie Tale movie for them. We still have it, but it's scratched up. I was happy when they came home, and I know how to say "I love you" in Creole: "Mwen renmen ou".

When Eliana came home I wasn't the oldest anymore. I was upset. To make me not feel so bad my Mom bought me a bra, deodorant and perfume. I also got a library card. I am used to not being the oldest anymore, but I am still the oldest birth child.

Soon after my sisters came home, Jude came home. I got to pick out his name. I picked it from a Veggie Tales movie!

About a year after they came home from Haiti, my Mom got pregnant with Eva. My Mom thought Eva was going to be a boy.

Around Christmas my Mom is going to have another baby! Then we will have seven kids.

With my parents, there are now eight of us. I like to watch the Duggars' 18 Kids and Counting, so I thought I would call my blog "Eight and Counting".
